great sounding speaker at a great price

We had never heard of this brand before and were skeptical of it. But so far we LOVE this column! We wanted a relatively inexpensive outdoor center speaker in a sheltered pergola to complete our outdoor movie and music surround setup. The other speakers we have are floorstanding Yamaha speakers. And we run everything through a Yamaha receiver. This center speaker sounds just as good if not better than the Yamaha. Voices sound very clear. High bright. And it has excellent mids and lows. Pros
  • Neutral and accurate sound with excellent voice clarity

  • Expensive insurance

Speakers that have earned a reputation as best sellers

The Micca MB42-C center channel speakers offer excellent value for small to medium sized homes. Theatrical installations, especially when combined with a solid subwoofer and a higher crossover point of around 200Hz. The cabinets are relatively light, 1/4" chipboard and of ported construction, so expectations should be reasonable. But the sound is great for the money. used in the much more expensive Micca MB42X-C, and the midrange quality has been noticeably improved. Quite good in the default…

Pros
  • Balanced woven carbon fiber woofer for enhanced transients and impressive bass

I finally decided to fix this problem on my system and replaced my cheap 15 year old center channel with mb42c. This speaker is very good. This gives you great sound for vocals and all that movie noise that you wouldn't even hear if you didn't have a center channel. I also play music over it and it sounds really good. I hook this up to…

Great with the Xover update.

I have a Pioneer BS-22 LR and need a center channel. Most people would advise against buying a Brand Center channel other than your left and right channels. The matching Pioneer center channel was a huge box and I had no way of fitting it in my office. So I decided to try Mikka. I have to say I'm glad I did it. Impressions without crossover. A dedicated center channel certainly improves speech and dialogue clarity, but the MB42C didn't match my 2 front speakers properly for clarity, largely due
