Description of 🛰️ High Sensitivity GPS Module NEO-6M for Navigation Satellite Positioning - Compatible with STM32 Arduino UNO R3 & 51 Microcontroller, Drone Receiver with IPEX Antenna

How to use the template, the link is obtained in the product description. ★Note: This GPS module will not search for signals when the weather is bad, and it will not search for stars indoors. When using it, please make sure that the GPS module is in an open location. GPSBaud needs to be set to 9600 instead of 4800; PPS pin is not needed unless using the GPS to drive a hardware high precision clock; GT-U7 main module GPS module using the original UBLOX 7th generation chip, Software is compatible with NEO-6M. GT-U7 module, with high sensitivity, low power consumption, miniaturization, its extremely high tracking sensitivity greatly expanded its positioning of the coverage. With a USB interface, you can directly use the phone data cable on the computer point of view positioning effect; With IPEX antenna interface, the default distribution of active antenna, can be quickly positioned. USB directly connected to the computer, That is, with the host computer-owned serial port function, no need for external serial module, send IPX interface active antenna!

Don't count on significant support

I finally got around to working with Arduino and the TinyGPSPlus library. You need to set the baud rate from the GPS to the CPU to 9600 instead of 4800 as the default baud rate in the sample library thumbnails. The seller couldn't offer any advice other than that it wasn't designed for aviation use. Something is probably lost in translation, which I agree with unless you say you support. One star off for the support issue.

Pros
  • Best in its niche
Cons
  • Lots of stuff

Not as good as uBlox NEO-6m

This GPS receiver is a Chinese "fake" uBlox NEO-6m. It doesn't adopt the original navigation solution as quickly as the real uBlox design. The included ceramic chip antenna is a bit smaller than some other receivers, and as they say, size matters. But for 13€ it's ok. I would give 3 stars if I could. If your application requires the best (at relatively low cost) performance, I would personally recommend the genuine uBlox NEO-7m or the even better uBlox NEO-8m. Still for a jelly board. All is…

Amazing GPS Module for GPS System Accessories

This chip is a clone of U-Blox Neo-6m. U-blox.com has a lot of documentation on U-blox.com. This is a 5 volt device. With Rx and Tx both 5v. The standard baud rate is 9600 bps, which is higher than that of conventional modules. It works with TinyGPS and Adadfruit GPS libraries once connected. You can use the USB Micro-B connector to access the chip directly. The U-blox U-Center software communicates directly via USB. U-Center is complex and powerful, but intimidating. Since the device is a…

Fast Warm Start, Fast Warm Start, Normal Cold Start, Low Power Consumption

Update: One of my Nanos was only outputting 4.2V on the 5V pin, causing many problems including very poor reception from this unit. GEOGRAPHICAL POSITIONING SYSTEM. If yours works, check the voltage it's getting. Update: For my clock I finally wrote my own nmea parser that only looks at RMC messages. TinyGPS hides the actual message type from you, it waits for the age and error flags to be correct before giving you any data, and it takes time to extract many things that I don't care. I have…

Ideal for use with Raspberry Pi. Be careful with Arduino!

This little device is great value for money. It appears to be using a real U-Blox chip under a metal can and white label. Most features of the U-Center software appear to work well. I connected mine to a Raspberry Pi 2 to create an NTP time server. The PPS connection offers an accuracy of tens of nanoseconds. To do this, the Raspberry Pi must be configured to receive a PPS signal on one of the GPIO pins. I used the "GPSD" and "NTPD" packages, which work fine with the device. Don't forget to…

Mainly the pros. A few cons. Works great for my application.

My app is for timing and certainly not for flight control. This module was fascinating because of its low price compared to other modules. Serial port/terminal. • Operates at 5V and I have verified on the oscilloscope (and in use) that the TTL levels are both TXD and PPS output. it turns out that positive transitions mark *next* sentences received and seconds = 00. Note that PPS are only shown if there is actually a fix (e.g. $GPRMC status term = 'A'). The small red LED on the breakout board…
