Not Worth Your Time: Poor Sound Quality

This microphone disappointed me with its static-laced recordings that no filtering or editing software could save. Its mediocre build quality made for a flimsy feel. While it boasts compatibility with a variety of electronics, the resulting sound remains subpar.

Pros
  • Compatible with a variety of electronics
Cons
  • Poor sound quality

Great value for a new streamer/podcaster

Pros The boom bar is one of the best barbells I've used at this price point. Really good cable ties. Condenser Cons: The XLR cable barely fit into the combo jack on my audio interface and I had to push it all the way in. When moving, a slight springy noise can be heard from the boom of the microphone. . There's nothing an equalizer can't fix. In general I think that someone who has the ability to use a phantom powered condenser mic and needs an "all in one" can use that mic and then upgrade to…

Pros
  • Cardioid Polar Pattern: The TC20 uses a cardioid polar pattern with excellent off-axis noise reduction capabilities to reduce side and rear noise and better eliminate background noise. Ideal for recording vocals and acoustic instruments.
Cons
  • Not bad, but...

The Mic is the Best

I like the microphone. I had to get phantom power for this as I figured my radio would provide it. Once I had good phantom power, I was able to plug in the mic. The comments are that the audio quality on the other end is good. I use this with a Heil cord and a foot pedal to use the radio hands-free. I am very happy with the microphone. The shock absorber works well. I didn't install a pop screen, but a wind screen. It seems to work. If I were recording music or a podcast I would most likely use

Pros
  • Professional Sound: The newly designed microphone capsule with low-noise FET preamp, high SPL and wide dynamic range delivers smooth, clear, warm and natural high-end sound.
Cons
  • I won't say anything
