This tool is very useful for ETL process, it can be used as data warehouse solution or database migration from one platform to another such like Oracle/SQL server etc. It has some limitations in terms of performance but we have managed by tuning parameters accordingly. Also I would recommend this product because its easy integration with SSIS packages which helps me doing my job easily. Alation has great support for all of Microsoft's tools, including SSIS. I have been able to use SSIS without any issues. They are fast, knowledgeable and responsive to all my needs. I cannot speak highly enough of them! The only thing I dislike is that the UI is not very user friendly. There are a lot of fields that you have to fill out to get the most basic task.
