9 months in the forest.

In November 2017, my brother and I were hunting in upstate New York. Leaving the woods on Sunday afternoon I dropped my Midland X-Talker T75VP3, when I got back to the truck it was nowhere to be found. In anticipation of the 2018 hunting season, I bought another pair of X-Talkers. Then, in July 2018, when I returned to the forest to set up some security cameras, he was down with a steam mill, my Midland X-Talker, in the middle of 52 hundred acres of state forest. When I got home I put new…

Battery issue - Portable Audio & Video

In July I bought a Midland - X-TALKER T75VP3 and wanted to use it to keep in touch with my son and his family while we drive our cars. The batteries were charged before the trip. On the drive I turned on the unit and after a couple of transmissions the radio died. The battery indicator showed a low battery level. At our first destination I fully charged the unit and tried to use it the next day with the same results, the battery would not charge rendering the radios unusable for the remainder…

Amazing range and life saving NOAA!

My wife and I live in a very remote Alaskan village that can only be reached by plane. We're always out in the freezing ocean, collecting shells, walking down muddy trails, or braving the elements to eat and play cards with friends. We are in our 30s and always on the go. The problem is we don't have cellular service. We got them a few months ago and apart from a bad battery for one (easy replacement via customer service) they all worked great! They work all over the village and have become our

Good radios. Update January 2019

Update January 2019: One of the supplied batteries is empty. A fee is no longer charged. It shows full but when taken off the charger it beeps for low battery. The set contains 3 AA batteries with a capacity of 1000 mAh. Here at Revain, you can purchase 2550mAh Eneloop batteries as an upgrade. The radio does not charge these batteries straight out of the box. If you look at the battery pack, only 2 connectors are exposed, but the bottom left connectors have connectors. Inside the radio is a…

Very good value for money especially when compared to other options

We are planning to use these on our sailboat so we can communicate at a distance of around 44ft with the engine running. I needed something with voice control and hands-free calling, and most marine catalogs had good stuff for around $400 or more. These cute little voice-activated walkie-talkies are a quarter of that price, so I decided to give them a try. After failing with a very sparse small print instruction manual, I called 800 which luckily was easy to find. I was immediately helped by a…

Reliable radio waves: Portable audio and video devices

Media could not be loaded. On my last trip, I had with me the recently received Midland X-TALKER T75VP3 portable radios. As soon as I took the radio out of the box, I realized that this is not at all what was in my kids' walkie-talkies. Camouflaged, compact and very durable. They fit perfectly in your hand. These radios come with rechargeable batteries. If necessary, you can also use normal batteries. In addition to the wall connection, the base supplied with the radio offers the possibility of
