This is a great tool for checking batteries. We had a similar device that stopped working after a long period of use and we HAD to get another one because we couldn't do our business without it. It tells the "truth" about batteries. We trust him 100%

check cold start amplifier. OSO. Gives a positive reading in terms of good or bad. I've been using it for about a year now and it hasn't let me down. Wal-Mart's automotive division uses it. I mainly use it on my 8D batteries. Nothing else tests it as accurately.

THE TESTER SHOWS IT TO CHECK THE STARTER BUT DOESN'T. TALK TO TECHNICAL SUPPORT AND HE AGREES THAT IT WILL NOT TEST THE STARTER IT'S ONLY A SALE. I can't believe they sunk so low. IT WILL MAKE A LOT AND WASTE TOO MUCH OF OUR TIME. It's just another cheap product with higher prices

Bought 2 Red Top Optima batteries a few years ago (3-4 years). Both cars had similar problems: the battery died after a few days of inactivity. I tested both and the tester showed "OK - Charging" (in and out of car). I tried charging both batteries and they charged about half and then showed 100% on the 3 chargers I tried.
