Gives me data I didn't have before to avoid costly mistakes when replacing good batteries. And there's really no need to buy the more expensive version, this one will display a measured CCA outside of the published CCA range of 200-850.

PBT 200 has no product specification for operating ranges. This only tests up to 900 CCA, which exceeds many batteries. For just $20 more, the PBT 300 has a much larger test range. Not Revain's fault, test specs aren't even on the Midtronics website. It's a good product, but the PBT 300 is better in every way due to its greater testing capability.

The Midtronics PBT200 battery tester CAN test AGM (Absorbent Glass Matrix) batteries, flat, coiled or gel batteries. It doesn't say this anywhere on the Midtronics website, Revain, or in the Midtronics user manual. I only found out about this by calling Midtronics Technical Support.
