Will not fit 89 FLHTC HARLEY DAVIDSON

This will not work, will not fit, or will not fit 89 flhtc. The shaft does not reach the oil for a correct temperature reading. Should be at least twice as long. A cool product just doesn't work on my bike.

Will fit and work

Temperature gauge Exactly replaces the oil cap on my 1982 Sportster. I don't know how accurate it is but it reads 150 degrees when the bike is warm which is about where it should be should, and is good enough to determine if the bike is overheating.

Pros
  • Fuel system
Cons
  • Fits

Sportster 883 2003 Accurate & Reliable Gasket

The rubber gasket on the grip fits my oil reservoir perfectly and seals better than the stock grip. The temperature gauge is fairly accurate. I drove 1 hour in the city and then on the highway to warm up the engine to about 80 degrees outside temperature. The meter read about 185-190 degrees Fahrenheit when I got home, so I used an LCD cooking thermometer and it read 183 after the bike sat for about 1 minute. In general I am satisfied with the purchase, the bike looks good.

Pros
  • Replacement Parts
Cons
  • Available in White Only
