Wish I had bought this a long time ago

Great for driving nails of almost any size. I hit the nail with a hammer and then drive it into the surface with a trimmer. If necessary, I use a set of nails to secure it below the surface. No bent or misplaced nails.

Pros
  • This product is Made in the USA
Cons
  • Empty

Maybe a little improvement

I think it would be a bit better if they could put a spring inside to keep the plunger retracted. At the slightest downward tilt, the plunger moves forward and pushes the nail out. But again, that would be another thing that would break and frustrate me.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Slightly crumpled

Best used as intended in hand tools.

This tool is designed and sold for driving in undercut nails. Stick to that goal. Some people have recommended it for driving nails into woodwork. In my experience it just doesn't have any accuracy for the 1 1/4"-1 3/4" pins used for precision casting. Instead of a concave head, the drive pin has a round head that allows the pin to move and flex toward the shaft. If you don't know how to use a hammer on small nails, you're better off borrowing a cordless screwdriver from your local tool rental…

Pros
  • The hexagonal shape provides a secure hold and prevents the tool from rolling away in the stowed position.
Cons
  • Drill kit

Great helper for hand tools

When I'm installing aluminum soffits and curbs, you're standing high on a ladder or scaffolding and trying to grab small nails around to secure them. With this screwdriver, you insert a nail into the screwdriver shaft, place it where you want it, and then hit the bottom shaft of the screwdriver with a hammer. This reduces the number of dropped nails and their misplacement, and also plugs holes in aluminum siding due to the lack of a nail head. You get used to it, and you can feel the nail being

Pros
  • Drives square nails into soffits, curbs and other trim
