My Australian pup outgrew his first collar so I was glad I saw this one when it was launched as a lightning deal a while ago. Not only is this a cute collar, it's also durable! I had this with my dog and put a harness on her when I was taking her for a walk the other day and as soon as she saw the squirrel she ran away. I am very satisfied with my purchase. I received a gray paisley design for our younger dog but I didn't measure her neck accurately which was my mistake so the size I ordered was too big. But we also have a larger male and I tried it on him and it fit him perfectly and looked sharp against his black coat so despite my mistake it worked great. The collar is certainly nice, but as another reviewer pointed out (and I should have been listening), they made the idiotic decision of riveting a thick, rigid metal plate with the company name on it. For business: First of all, folks, dog necks are round - how is that thick metal bar supposed to flex on smaller collars? Very attractive, soft color and design, goes well with my all black pup. I bought the rentals to match and both seem to be well made and I like that the hand rental loop is a little softer for comfort. The collar is easy to adjust and the clip mechanism feels very solid. I used to have a collar with a lock, but it didn't stay locked and I wasn't sure. this is a tenacious heavy duty collar my 10 week old Large Pyrenee has outgrown his small collar in several ways and i chose this collar mainly for him based on thickness. As my little one will grow to 150 pounds it is so important that we start leash training the big one early.
