Description of Migiwata Fractional Cobalt Steel Twist Cutting Tools

COBALT STEEL - Manufactured from M35 grade cobalt steel, with molybdenum and cobalt added to creates a hardened alloy, measuring Rockwell hardness up to 67, for much faster cutting and extra longer life span, ideal for repeated drilling in metalworking. FOR METALWORKING - Particularly successful in cutting through hard metals(hardness less than HRC38°) such as stainless steel and cast iron, although they can be used for softer materials like copper and aluminium, too. Not for hardened steel / high carbon steel. Try to adjust the RPM when it fails to penetrate. SELF CENTERING - The 135°quick-cut pilot split points are self-centering and can penetrate quickly with less pressure. The bits will not "walk" or "wander". Straight shank allows for firmly holding and accurate centering, fit for standard drill chucks and regular round collet chucks. 10PC SET - The set includes 10pcs of 7/32” diameter M35 grade cobalt steel twist drill bits, packed in a plastic case for easy storage and carrying. Manufactured to German DIN338 standard. DOWNLOADABLE USER GUIDE - We've summed up some tips of drilling metals, including a RPM chart for several common metals, based on our reviews and some articles on the internet. In most cases, our customers would get a much better result with these tips. Welcome to download.

Great bits for the corner!

These beats are amazing! I used a drill to drill through this pendant to re-cover it. There were 40 holes in the angle iron and it was still sharp enough to drill more! The steel was hard enough to drive bolts into a hole, it required a punch, so it wasn't a soft metal. I finally threw the first one out yesterday after I drilled 6 more holes in my steel gate to attach a guy rope. I wouldn't even throw it away if I didn't have 9 left!

Pros
  • FOR METALWORKING – Particularly effective when cutting hard metals (less than 38° HRC) such as stainless steel and cast iron, although they can also be used on softer materials such as copper and aluminium. Not for hardened steel / high carbon steel. Try adjusting the RPM if it's not penetrating.

Best we've ever tried, and we've tried them all

We are building a large steel building that will require over 4,000 pre-drilled screw holes. We've tried every brand from every big store. After stock ran out (small town, limited supply) I searched the internet and ordered bits from a few different sellers to compare. Those were the best of them all. We are on the fourth box. They just feel sharper and last MUCH longer. Not to mention the dollars saved compared to $3-4 apiece at the store. And yes, we are cruel to them, we have neither the…

Pros
  • SELF-CENTERING – 135° high-speed split tips self-center for fast penetration with less pressure. The bits do not "run" or "wander". Cylindrical shank ensures a secure hold and precise centering, suitable for standard drill chucks and conventional round collets.
Cons
  • Non-Automatic

UPDATE: The company contacted me to fix the issue. So thank you for the good customer service. I still have a trailer to work on so they sent me another pack of drills. I'll see if they do a better job on this project and will update when I see what's going on. Upgraded to 3 stars for good customer service. Initial Review: I bought these drill bits to use when remodeling my snowmobile trailer deck so I had to drill 2x6's and then corner irons. I drilled through the wood, then added a bit of tap

Pros
  • COBALT STEEL – Manufactured from M35 Cobalt Steel with added Molybdenum and Cobalt to create a hardened grade up to 67 Rockwell for much faster cutting and longer life, ideal for repetitive drilling in metalworking.
