The valve stem does not fit just enough to inflate the tire.

Cartridge will not fit the nipple whether it is the outer or inner tire of a two wheel truck. Tried on two different trucks. The metal gear keeps the valve from aligning at 90 degrees and all it does is bleed air and show almost no pressure.

good for twin wheels

Suitable for twin wheels in a camper van but as I couldn't get a perfectly straight shot of the valve stem through the wheel the open grooves gripping the valve stem made it very difficult to use. I removed the insert and filed the grooves a bit (quite tough stuff and needed a good sharp round file). Now it works fine.

Excellent, high quality extended air chuck.

This extension chuck was just the ticket. This allows me to fill the tire's internal dual valve without having to physically force the internal valve stem. The device is of high quality and meets my requirements. Please note that this extension cartridge has an internal "check valve" so it cannot be used with a control actuator that opens and closes the air supply. That doesn't bother me as I use a separate calibrated pressure gauge to check that I've inflated the tire to the correct air…

Doesn't work on my Ford Dually

I bought this specifically to access the valve stem on the inner tire on the back of my Ford Dual. The one I had wasn't long enough. It looks good and is well made, but the tail used for the internal valve is not offset and I was unable to install it on the valve. I tried to modify (bend) it to fit and it broke behind the end fitting. Fear not, I reassigned it as an extension to my existing cartridge and I have everything I need to get to the valve. Look carefully at the photo before buying!

  • Absolutely amazing!

Licensed truck driver.

I am a truck driver with almost 20 years of experience and over 2 million miles. From the first year I always had an air tube with me. The air hoses sold to motorists at truck stops that connect to the "red" air brake line are decent, but the cartridges don't stay on the tire valves. You have to sit down and firmly push this cartridge into the valve stem to inflate the tire. This can take some time and gets boring very quickly, especially in bad weather. This thing replaces the stock air chuck,

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Problems happen

Not as good as it used to be.

I bought one of these about a year ago and I love it. Got this one on first use when I pulled it back to press against the stem the head broke. Air blew everywhere, I winced and pulled back, the hose whipping for a minute before I got it under control. It looks like the steps were cut too deep when they were cut, or the brass tubing was too thin. I used my first dozen times on my outside wheels on an RV where the bars were facing in. I think it might just be a coincidence if the product didn't…

Rear-facing air cartridge.

I drive a tractor trailer and we know how handy this type of pneumatic machine is. Decided to order this one. I had to inflate all the tires and found that the rear-facing cartridge wasn't that good. It needs to be tighter to snap onto the valve stem. It seemed that the userid was too big. But the front cartridge held on to all air valves with no problem. I've found what appears to be a much better air chuck screw head online, but I want to see if they will send a replacement head for it and it
