One of the best photo backpacks.

I just knew I wasn't going to like this bag. It's small, has few pockets and doesn't fit in my laptop. Well I've had this bag for a few months now and I'm amazed at how much I can stuff in it. I have tried several backpacks and camera bags in general. Usually my biggest complaints are that they are too bulky or don't give me easy access to my camera. I can be a lazy shooter and dislike attracting attention. So if I have to shoulder my bag and grab a giant camera, I'm probably missing out on…

    Nice set for occasional photographers

Great idea and works great. I stuffed a Nikon D3300 with a Tokina 11-16mm wide-angle lens and a Nikkor 50mm prime lens into a backpack, and I had plenty of room. The "top" backpack had enough space for a 2 liter hydration bladder, a pair of socks, a towel, sunscreen, a raincoat and some snacks. Just two problems. 1) When the camera is folded, the adjustment strap sticks out on the left side, so my hand keeps touching it when walking. The nylon strap or something was rough enough to rub me…

Would buy it again with great pleasure.

Bought for a safari trip - beautifully made. Very well designed, very well made. Plenty of room for four-thirds of the body and 12-60mm and 70-300mm. The top is also large and roomy. In the hands were a couple of guidebooks, a scarf, a down jacket, a daily set of toiletries, souvenirs bought that day and a packing cube with additional photos (filters, lenses, etc.). The monopod comes out with no problems. It would be nice to have a pocket for a water bottle but I'm not sure where it would fit…

Great for travel good for outdoors

I bought this backpack to carry my MFT system on a recent trip to Europe. My Olympus E-M1 fits easily in my belt bag with a not too small 12-40mm lens, as well as a 40-150mm lens and a fairly large 100-300mm lens. The belt pouch slides in and out very easily when carrying the pouch, making it easy to change lenses. The tall, narrow look and waist straps hold the load well close to the back, and the weight is on the hips rather than the shoulders. I've used the top compartment for cards, snack…

    Great travel backpack

Just used this bag for a 3 week trip to Scotland. I carried a Sony NEX 6 with two lenses and a pair of 10x42 binoculars in my fanny pack (along with accessories). The main backpack had plenty of room for jackets and lunch. There's room for an iPad in the hip pack, but I always keep mine in my main pocket. If you open most of it, you'll notice a velcro opening behind the mesh pocket. Open it up and you have enough space for an iPad and other flat items (I used to keep my travel maps and…

Nothing is perfect, but it's close

    1. Like many people reading this, I had many backpacks/camera bags; maybe too much. I'm very familiar with the Lowepro line, partly the Tamrac line and more recently the Think Tank line. The bottom line is that there is no perfect camera bag. It's always a work in progress, and you end up with what works for you, for your current needs and equipment.2. Still, I prefer the various Lowepro backpacks; most recently the Versapack (a really great traditional camera backpack). But since I mainly…
