My cousin Carol ordered one of these and after hearing her opinion I wanted one too. We were cleaning and sanding furniture in the garage and could hear the speaker through all the noise. I walk the "ponds" in Florida every night and it will be great to carry around and listen to my favorite songs. It can also scare away alligators! Don't pay attention to the neck brace! Love this little speaker. I can hear the news on the phone and take a speaker with me. I can hear through the vacuum cleaner, dishwasher and other noisy things. You also get decent range from your phone. I charge it on the side of my MacBook Air and it takes about 6-8 hours to charge. It's also small, has a strong cord loop for carrying around, and is cute. I really liked this little thing. It was recommended by Audible and I liked the design. It worked great initially, but stopped working after seven months. It started about a month ago with poor stamina. I thought it might be the battery so I just kept charging it but I noticed it was holding less and less charge each time. I bought this speaker for my girlfriend for work (she works in the office) and she loves it. This is a fantastic little speaker for the price. The battery life is 4-6 hours depending on the volume. In my experience, it sounds better sitting on the surface, but the light weight and convenient hanging strap make it a great speaker for camping or traveling.
