Beautiful, comfortable, well-tailored loafers

Very comfortable, soft elk leather inside and outside; an amazing amount of support including some arch support and cushioning in the sole while still being soft. The extra cushions that make them "driving shoes" also make it a pleasure to stand or walk on hard, cold, or rough floors, which would be uncomfortable barefoot, but still in luxurious, lightweight, soft moccasins. Ordered my shoe size for the first time. but I found them too small, just a whole size bigger for me - with or without…

Very very narrow compared to the one in the picture

First of all Ignore the review that the stitching on the sole has separated. They wore and dragged them, tore the seams. Big difference. Now my rating is a quality leather, very narrow and pointed. In the photos, the toe appears more rounded and traditional. The sole is narrower than shoes, which is logical since you can't walk in them. You are literally built to ride and then change shoes at your destination. They will be very tight at first if you bought the right size. They don't have to…

These are the Guardians! - Men's

These are my first loafers. I always like to kick off my shoes and put on my slippers when I get home, but it's becoming increasingly difficult to find slippers that are durable and comfortable to wear (even if only for a few hours). I started looking for moccasins, stumbled across them and decided this is just what I need. When they arrived I literally put them on straight away. They are made of very soft elk leather inside and out. There is no lining (which made me very happy as I live in…

First pair defective, second pair ok

I had three pairs of these and still have all three. They are very durable and very comfortable. So I figured I'd try driving the Moc. This pair arrived with a defective left shoe. I have already replaced this pair and the second pair is fine. But I have to say they seem to be making them narrower than before. However, they are very stretchy and I expect a second pair to be fine.

When it comes to shoes, size matters

I've owned about 10 pairs of Minnetonkas over the years and love them. size that fits. Always either too big or too small. When I saw almost the same style in elk skin for $69 instead of the usual $80-83, I jumped at it. I already have a black and tan moose skin with a different type of sole and also had a moose skin with a pebble sole which eventually evaporated. wear after 20 years. The elk leather will definitely stretch when worn. But then they become the most comfortable thing ever on your

Less hiking. Get more rest.

The soles are very narrow and I have very wide feet. So I guess I won't be using them to hike the Appalachian Trail. It breaks my heart but I think I can pull myself together and move on. The soles are designed for riding and lounging thanks to the way they wrap around the heel. When your shoes are telling you to rest, you need to listen. A moose's skin is very elastic, like that of a moose or a deer, but much thicker. So they nestle around your legs and are immediately comfortable.

  • Don't waste too much time
