nice finish and heavy

Well, I have to admit that when I bought this moka pot I was a little wary of an aluminum moka pan. This gorgeous, beautiful finish and heavy. The top cover is also made of stainless steel, not flimsy metal, the hole is solid, the thread is even, not rough like some aluminum mokas. I used to preheat my old pot before putting it on the stove, but the instructions for this mocha pot say you have to use cold water, which I did and there was no time difference between the two to start brewing to…

Hello, I bought this coffee pot as a gift for my wife in May 2018. The lower part started to rust, inside and out, see photo, after about half a year of use. Judging by some of Minos' answers, it was very well made in China. I contacted Amazon customer service about the rusting issue and they suggested contacting the manufacturer directly as the item is still under warranty.
