The build quality is good, installation was fairly easy and the only issue I had during installation was the metal air intake elbow coming off the Battery had to be moved away tie, otherwise it rubs. Otherwise it's solid reception, sounds good, looks good but don't expect any real benefits.

Fantastic product and top quality. Go to YouTube and watch the installation video, it made the whole process almost easy. As one of the final steps, be prepared to seal your car's existing pipe and new airbox very tightly. I yelled a few words of my choice for 15 minutes while donning a tight sleeve.

To really see an increase in performance, you need tuning. Before the installation I already had a full catback and an E85 tune. An applied dynamometer told me there was more grunt on the bottom and the initial throttle spike felt better. I haven't noticed any changes in WOT. Keeping the sound tube will get you some improvements in the noise department. Buy it last. Do all other bits first.

Cool thing, but I don't think it's necessary. In my opinion, this doesn't have a huge impact on performance. When accelerating you just get a nice noise. I have this plus a Goodwin Racing sport exhaust on my MX5 ND. I noticed that it has a bit more low-end torque compared to the stock. But I think you're better off just buying the exhaust. It's not bad at all, but maybe not $300 good.

The airbox bracket hole was difficult to align with the mounting hole on the left of the coolant reservoir. Also, the air tube that runs from the air intake to the air chamber was almost impossible to install (played with it for over an hour). We ended up using dish soap (mixed water in a spray bottle) which really helped attach the hose. This setup uses a tuning tube removal kit and a removed heat shield airbox cover. I give it four stars because we had to watch youtube videos multiple times to install it ourselves because the kit did NOT come with any instructions or parts list. However, in the video the host says that the installation takes about an hour, it took almost three hours because we had to stop so much to see the next part of the video as we had to pause it after each step.
