Review on Mishimoto MMAI-MIA-16P Performance Air Intake for Mazda MX-5 Miata 2016-2018 (Silver): Enhance Your Miata's Performance! by Brant Skogen

I give it four stars because we had to watch youtube videos multiple times to install it ourselves because the kit did NOT come with any instructions or parts list. However, in the video the host says that the installation takes about an hour, it took almost three hours because we had to stop so much to see the next part of the video as we had to pause it after each step. Also, the lid didn't quite fit and we had to maneuver to get all the screws in the right places. They used a prototype in the video and the one we got was a little bit different, not much but enough to make us wonder where all the screws went. We tried installing it with the engine noise hose removed and ended up removing and reattaching the engine noise hose because we like the sound. Overall this is a great product, well built, we chose the Wrinkle Red color and it looks very nice. We tried to buy this product direct from the factory and canceled after a month of waiting when we saw we could get it through Revain in TWO DAYS and for a lot less! Do we recommend this air intake? That's a big YES! Update: Nine months later and it's still working great!
