Mishimoto Performance Air Intake for Subaru WRX 2015-2018 Silver - MMAI-WRX-15BP Review

Easy to install. Very aggressive intake noise. Easy installation if you are familiar with hose clamps and body mounting clips. It took me quite a long stretch to get to one of the nuts.

First Poor, only missing a yoke and hex bolt for the airbox (I hope Mishimoto sends me these parts). Nice, clean and easy installation process. Good sound. Now I can hear the BOV in full. Noticeable difference in pickup, small but noticeable. I can't wait to turn it on and feel its true power.

Mishimoto Performance Air Intake arrived on time exactly as described in excellent new condition and very well packaged. High quality air intake and easy to install. Great fit and look. I haven't had the system long enough to judge if the engine's actual power increases. I like the "real" sound of the system compared to the civilized standard version.

Great reception, everything arrived well packaged and organized. I installed everything in the driveway under the hood (above), although the instructions say to lift the car and run pipes from below, this is perfectly doable from above. The installation took about 40 minutes in total. The sound is low until you sit on it and then hear a nice whistle! This inlet is amazing. I would like to give 4 stars for the reduction in consumption per gallon, but this has nothing to do with the real system, so I cannot reduce consumption because of it. The psychological aspect of the MPG drop comes from just hearing the air intake sucking in air (acceptably loud) and what is now a working/audible exhaust valve and wanting to keep hearing those sounds. I have a base 2016 6speed wrx. I installed this for all the pros in Atlanta, Georgia. Sounds great, good HP boost. and tq in the factory setting. I use 93 octane gas, which is common in Georgia and not a problem. It really wakes up the bov sound and makes it great. There are no installation problems.
