Good if your hands are busy.

Works great with my portable band saw that I built a platform for. My portable band saw is NEVER used by hand. It's ALWAYS in a unit that I've welded together to mimic a stationary vertical band saw. I tether the switch on the saw to the "on" position and use this product as an alternate switch to turn the saw on and off so I can use my hands. (both) to guide the steel through the cut. I've tried forgoing this product but it's too dangerous with a zipper saw switch. Using a saw without a zip…

Pros
  • Hands-free control of the router means you can work with both hands, giving you confidence and control.
Cons
  • I will add later.

Well, nothing interesting. . . works perfectly.

. . . works well. Good value for money. I use the switch to turn on the vacuum before using the miter saw. Two problems: the first is that the plastic switch is lightweight and sometimes tends to not stay in place due to the stiff power cord. . . it looks like it's tilted a bit to one side. Attaching to a piece of plywood to increase the footprint solves this problem. Another problem is the stiff cord, which favors tipping over. . . What about the manufacturers of most wired products these days

Pros
  • No need to keep your hands free to find the router switch
Cons
  • Only available in white for now

Basic equipment, every joinery needs at least one.

I work on a band saw and this type of switch is an absolute must for a circular saw. It's easy to use. Click on your foot and the saw will turn on. Raise your leg and the saw will stop. It's not speed control. The speed is controlled by a button on the saw. Once I've set the speed for the material I'm cutting, I don't need to constantly change it, but I want to be able to start and stop the saw instantly without taking my hands off the work piece. This switch serves its purpose perfectly. It's…

Pros
  • 5 stars for performance and price
Cons
  • Small things
