It worked right away! If they just see it, they'll stop barking and jumping immediately, even if it's off. That's great! I have a dog that has "super" hearing so it scares her a little. So if you have a sensitive dog, use with caution and at a greater distance on the lowest setting.

This didn't work for us. As soon as I installed the batteries, checked, and brought my dog, he startled and whimpered without barking to start the unit. I took out the batteries, everything is fine. Rebuilt the next day, brought her back and she did the same. I will say that the return was very easy with no problems.

I got this for a very loud German shepherd, it's no big deal. I can tell he hears it, but it doesn't discourage barking at all. Overall it didn't work for my dog and it seems cheaply made for the price, also the power button is a bit confusing, hard to tell if it's actually on unless the dog barks. basically not satisfied.

We are not returning this product because it doesn't work, it's because it works too well. My 10 year old daughter says she hears the high pitched noise it makes and it hurts her ears. My elderly grandfather, who has hearing aids, said he fiddled with it and asked me to turn it off. He quickly removed his tools as soon as I turned them on, and that alone was amazing. Within the first 5 minutes of turning this device on in my home, it dramatically changed the behavior of our 3 dogs.
