I bought this because of all the great reviews so I wanted to write one too. Hope that helps. I like it! We have 2 dogs! Chihuahua barks and hyperlabors. They are our children and do not want anything that could harm them. So I was skeptical. However, sometimes their barking can be too loud. I tried to teach positive behavior but they are dogs! I know dogs should be able to bark. That's how they communicate. I also want them to be free to protect us because that is their nature. It was just delivered today! A 9V battery was included. Easy to turn on. Easy to use. As soon as I turned it on, the dogs immediately ran out of the room and upstairs. I made sure to keep it low. When they came down again, they were very stubborn and scared. They slowly moved back into the living room and stayed there, but all I can say is that my house hasn't been this quiet in 3 years! Weird thing. My daughter could hear the high-pitched ultrasonic sound, but my husband and I could not. I just keep him in another room because if he is in a noisy room he will pick up a lot and the dogs will hear him. They went barking once and that was it. Didn't try the rest of the day. I recommend that, but I also recommend spending the first day with your dog, observing his behavior and putting him into this mode if he looks stressed. I praised them all day and we all stayed because they needed us. I will NOT keep it all the time, only when needed. I won't have it for the night. If someone disturbs our home while we sleep, our dogs will definitely wake us up and bark at us. This is definitely a game changer. As I said, we had a very peaceful home today and I am very grateful for that. I highly recommend it! Just make sure you take the time you need to train and calm your dogs. It's not punishment, it's intimidation. Much luck!
