Moen 155748BN Hose Kit Review

The hose I received leaked in the middle. Either the hose was defective, or it had been on the shelf for a long time and was damaged due to age?

I bought everything separately as it was not possible to buy the whole set in this style in the store. Yes, in the end it became much more expensive, but there was practically no other choice. Pleased with how it all ended.

This replacement hose is a much better constructed than the one that came with the original product. It's easy to install, much more flexible, and has snap-open ends to keep the hose from kinking. A great improvement over the original equipment!

The original pipe that came in the house broke and had to be replaced. The metal paint was the perfect substitute. Just make sure the length is right for your needs. I would have liked a longer model but it's a perfect replacement for my current rig so no complaints.

Make sure the connections on both sides are working. I was lucky that one end worked with a set shower head. This hose is a bit shorter and stiffer than the one it replaced, so I have to be careful not to twist it and splatter it on the floor when using it.

The hose for any hand shower is subject to constant flexing and is guaranteed to fail within 1-2 years of use and always at the end of the faucet. Fortunately, replacing this faucet from Moen is a simple task that any competent do-it-yourselfer can do without any special tools. The exchange shouldn't take more than a few minutes.

I ordered this hose because our main shower hose broke in the hand held shower. However, the replacement finish supplied by Revain was much lighter than the brushed nickel finish on our lights.
