Moen 2575 Contemporary Recessed Toilet Review

I've been using built-in paper holders for many years, I don't remember the brand names. This is my preferred type of mount as it is not as intrusive as a wall mounted one. The only problem I have is that the screws that go into the support clamp, in this case the 588 Donner clamp, are a size too small. This holder comes with #8 x 2in. screws and they were too small for the hole in the clip. It was probably long enough, but I replaced them with #10 x 2 1/2" screws. I only gave 4 stars for that…

I've had this toilet roll holder for a few months now and it doesn't hold up very well, especially the levers that hold the spindle. I attribute this to the pressure put on them when you need to change a roll of toilet paper, but that's part of the holders' job and their inability to withstand regular use is frustrating. Also, the screws that came with the bracket didn't fit the holes in the mounting bracket. Instead I had to use the longer screws that came with the bracket and they don't fit…

Not sure if this is a Moen product but cheap fake. Moen was not written anywhere on the box. The spindle is made of cheap chrome-plated plastic that is almost not dimensionally stable, the spindle arms are not cast, but are attached with small screws. I replaced an old model holder that screwed into the studs so I didn't need a mount; but I had to buy longer screws. The overall weight seems too light for a product of this size.
