💧 Chrome Replacement Knob Insert for Moen 97462 Monticello Shower Handle Review

Our bath faucets were still in good condition but with outdated gold handles. Screw them onto Moen faucets. Good heavyweight for them. An easy way to upgrade our bathroom fixtures.

I have a Monticello shower handle/valve, mostly chrome plated but with a brass colored handle. We wanted to get rid of the brass color so I bought this replacement grip along with the accent (AT2099). It was easy to screw on and changed the whole look of the assembly. Would definitely recommend instead of replacing the handle/valve assembly.

This only lasted two weeks. I was too lazy to install the first week and got back to Revain late, and now it's been more than 30 days. Revain is always great with a valid return so no problem. But I would have expected better quality from Moen. I just discovered that they offer a lifetime guarantee on their products so I should have contacted them first rather than ordering a replacement. Unscrew the old gold handle and screw on the new chrome handle. What could be easier? I used this to replace the handle on my swivel shower valve with a handle. It seems a bit pricey for a one piece set compared to a two piece shower grip set. Fun fact, this handle is the same size as the handle in the 2 piece shower set.
