This is a waste of money. The locking screw is all that holds the weight of the towels and if you touch it the locking screw will loosen. If you try to tighten it it will break. save your money My return period has expired so I'm out of luck.

Looks good. I'm a little disappointed with the crossbars (?) which are plastic and squeak as they rotate when the towel is removed or hung. Could have been made of better materials. I had hoped for a good, strong, powerful one like I had before. but we are in the "break out, throw away but new” throwaway age where quality is hard to find, especially from big manufacturers.

I bought this towel rail in January 2018 and today, mid April 2018, it broke. The connection between the top horizontal bar and the left vertical bar just broke. The only thing we put on these bars are our 2 Turkish bath towels. Can't believe the quality is so bad it broke in less than 3 months of use. And we bought 2 of them, one for each bathroom. I am very disappointed and did not expect this from a Moen product.

Overall I like this double towel rail. It looks good, is solid, and doesn't mount badly (another pair of hands makes it smoother). The one star deduction is because once installed, the crossbars rotate in your arms (like when you put your towel on and off) and this causes that horrible metallic creaking/squeaking sound. I fixed this by filling each end cap with clear sealant and letting it dry; It's a simple and cheap fix to a small problem, but the design should have taken that into account…

This product was very easy to install. Moen has an installation video if you google it. A template is included with the instructions. Simply tape the instructions to the wall and use a spirit level to ensure the guides on the instruction paper line up. You will need a drill to install the anchors. If you use a full size bath towel, hand towel and washcloth, they will NOT all fit on the same towel rail without folding them. What happens when you fold a wet towel? It can get musty. Not what you want to smell like after a shower. A simple solution is to replace the single rod with double towel rails (like this one) and no extra wall space is required. UPDATE: I just spoke to Moen customer service and they are sending a new towel rail to replace the broken one. As long as the towel rail works it really is perfect. So me changed my 3 star rating to 5 stars to reflect my opinion of Moen's product (in a helpful way) and customer service Confidence! This is a great towel warmer! It's very practical and looks good. The Lounge wasn't my first choice for a heated towel rail in my new home. I didn't want those little balls on the ends. However, the chrome plating of the zinc strips is fine. The bars themselves are a little light but look nice. Installation was easy (I made sure to use a long bubble level and measure carefully).
