🚿 Moen LR2250DW 9-Inch Designer Hand Grip for Home Care in Glacier White Review

I bought 2 of these to install for my mum when she comes to visit. Material, optics, aesthetics - everything on top. Installation was also very easy. Please note that the Phillips screws provided were approximately 2 inches long. My biggest complaint is that the screw covers were a bit difficult to put back on. If I need more I will buy these again.

I had to add grab bars just behind the tub/shower wall to make getting out of the tub easier. I was able to set the bar vertically in a narrow area. Unlike most rods, Moen needed no more than 3 inches of wall space to install the screw cap. I could have used a bit with a longer shank if I used the pin as a template to drill pilot holes.

These handrails are perfect for our needs and very cool. They are strong and well made. They don't make you feel like you're in a hospital or rehab. However, remember that if you have a one-piece shower screen, you will need special brackets to install it. Our stylist had to buy special braces from Moen. Our one-piece shower screen has a cavity between itself and the built-in wall behind it. Without brackets there is no secure hold.

Tried to shop at our local Lowe's store for the same price but it was consistently sold out. It's weird since Moen's HQ is about 30 miles from our home. It is made of durable plastic. What I like is that the mounts are hidden. The finger recesses under the handle (not visible from the outside) were also important. This makes for a good hand buy when exiting a comfortable but slippery hot tub. At the same price; good buy.

I now have THREE of these and they are excellent. I actually installed one outdoors where there are two steps leading up to my porch and there is no place to attach the railing. Another is installed in my bathtub/shower as a non-slip device when getting in and out. The third is installed next to my toilet to give anyone who needs it a little help getting in and out (as I did for the first 2 months after my bypass surgery last year!). The product is not made of zinc but of stainless steel. It is made of soft plastic that is easily scratched and damaged. Additionally, the heads of the mounting screws are easily removed, making it difficult or impossible to securely tighten the screws into the wall despite following the installation instructions closely and drilling a 1/8" pilot hole.
