Very strong - installation requires a hole saw

It's really solid. Due to the way my (tiny) bathroom is set up, and due to major leg surgery, I have to pull it horizontally (i.e. like pulling it straight out of the wall) to get off the toilet. I'm not sure it's rated to take that much pull in that direction, but it feels solid. The screws that attach it to the drywall are the largest I've seen and ingeniously designed. The only reason I gave it 4 stars was because: a) it required a 1 1/4 inch hole saw (I'm not sure of the size) and Iโ€ฆ

Ease of installation depends on what you install it on. Comfortable, often used, 2 years. old with no signs of wear. Continuous.

We bought 2 grab bars - this bronze and brushed nickel - one for each bathroom. I installed one of them myself. We turned the sun deck into a bathroom for my son (who has special needs - one of his needs is balance and mobility). I just screwed it into a wooden wall. It's stable, strong, and as strong as this wall - it can withstand almost any weight. The other had to be installed in another bathroom and it was a bit more difficult. I couldn't understand the plastic lock that goes through theโ€ฆ

Comfortable but still a bit ADA-looking.

I installed these to help my disabled husband. They are very strong and hold quite a bit of weight as described. However, they are quite large, so they still look a little institutional, but not as bad as a regular handrail. Delta makes one that looks smaller than the ADA but also has a much smaller gripper stem. So if you need a really strong grip, this is the one for you. slightly upwards so that the toilet paper is better held on it. I've slipped toilet paper off mine a few times when itโ€ฆ
