I bought this because I liked the idea of having a transparent back to show off the sleek design of my mum's Apple iPad. This way she could see the beautiful color of her iPad and what I had engraved on it while still protecting it with this case. Very pretty case, love the color combination with my new rose gold iPad Air. The sleep/wake functions work fine, no problems with the buttons. The price is great. I have an issue with the soft sides - you can pull the sides away from the case very easily and it makes me a little nervous because if I pick it up carelessly the iPad could fall or at least partially come out of the case. I wanted something soft so it wouldn't scratch my iPad when you take it in or out. It's not as durable as the Smart Keyboard, but it costs several times less. It smells.
