Has trouble sticking to wet steel

Very versatile. Will fix almost anything as long as what you're fixing is dry enough. I don't know how you reconcile that with the fact that you have to put it in 150° hot water in order for the cards to be pliable enough to work with, but like I said it fixes pretty much everything, so I think you will have to deal with it alone.

Worth a try, but with some caveats

They're fun and provocative like sci-tech experiments, but not as easy to manipulate or shape as you might like. Once they are warm enough (hot water method) they become too brittle to handle without losing their shape without you being able to fully control them. Maybe the heat gun method is better, but I haven't had a chance to try it. Although they're fun.

Excellent broken plastic repair

I got Power Wheels for my son and one wheel had a crack about 8 inches in the middle. Changing a wheel would cost at least $40 and I doubt it would be as easy as it sounds. Instead of going down that route I bought these plastic cards, poured a cup of hot water and brewed a few to mend the tear. It worked wonderfully. He has been riding for a few weeks now and the wheel is holding up well. Since drive wheels are notoriously awful, I also wrapped the wheels in 26-inch bike tires to add some…

A 3 year old problem solved in minutes!

I was trying to figure out why my ice maker and freezer lights weren't working. One day I got on all fours and saw a piece of black tape covering a light switch. As soon as I took it off the light came on and I finally saw that the piece of plastic had been chipped off by the previous owner. Now how can I fix what I thought 🤔. Luckily I found and ordered molded plastic cards on this site. I dipped the card in water that I heated in the microwave and removed the melted shape with a spoon. After

Completely melted into the car.

So maybe it would be good for colder climates but certainly not for me and I only live in New York! Putting it in the recommended hot water and melting it, I then shaped it on the cup holder in my car. Fast forward 3 days and it has completely melted, dripped and all over my passenger seat! Worst of all, it wasn't even one of the "hot days" of the mid-'80s. I understand that cars can get hot in the summer, but the temperature doesn't come close to the 150 degrees it takes to melt this stuff…

Better Than Sugru

I bought a Sugru to fix my home glasses. It worked for 6 months but fell apart, started to fail and had to be replaced. It wasn't easy working with him and that led to a mess. It was also difficult to get it off your hands - you had to wear gloves. I bought it to replace the Sugru. It worked much better and dried to hard plastic. The only problem was getting the water hot enough to melt the card. I ended up heating the water in the microwave to bend the card (not for boiling - too hot). It was…
