Wouldn't recommend as a writing and proofing consumable

Mine didn't come in a foam padded box like other reviews I've seen. It was simply stuffed into a cardboard tube. No padding or protection other than a piece of paper wrapped around the tip. Somehow it got to me without breaking. But the tip still seems damaged or broken when it was made. The nib is jagged and uneven, making writing difficult and uneven. In addition, the entire handle has tiny sharp edges and jagged edges randomly placed around the entire perimeter. Poorly made.

Excellent calligraphy pen

I bought this pen mainly to test fountain pen ink. I actually found it quite enjoyable to write. It holds a lot of ink and you can write for a while before you dip it back in. It's cut to create a thicker or thinner line depending on which side you write on. It seems solid enough as glass handles can be. I was careful with him (because he's made of glass, of course) but I wouldn't say I coddled him. and I haven't had any fears of cracks or breaks yet.

I love it! suitable for office and school supplies

I had some doubts about buying this glass pen from a seller with no reviews but I bought it anyway. My pen arrived safe and sound as promised. The handle itself is quite cute and I was surprised at how light it is as I was expecting it to be heavier. I have never owned a glass pen and I will admit that I bought it under the influence of my recent interest in fountain pens and ink. I was looking for an easy way to test different inks, and an easy-to-clean glass pen seemed like a good idea. The…

Beautiful pen with smooth and reliable ink flow

Let me first say that I love this pen. I have a problem with that, but I'll get to that later. The pen writes a thick, smooth line and I haven't had a problem with too much ink seeping onto the page after just dipping it in the ink. A dip in ink lasts much longer than metal-tipped pens, and it's easier to tell when a pen is running out of ink. It writes thicker and wider than I'm used to, and because I write small, narrow letters I have a few legibility issues, but I'll get used to it over…

Buy now as a gift!

I couldn't be happier. I use ink for shading watercolors, mostly prewashed (i.e. sketch in ink first). I'm on a budget and was looking for the perfect fountain pen with a fine tip (Pilot?) and waterproof fountain pen ink (Noodlers?). But I don't like black. It should be gray or sepia. Bored with the price and lack of the perfect combination of waterproof gray or sepia fountain pen inks, I decided to buy a pen and glass (simply because it's new!) and a bottle of Ph Martins Bombay Ink in sepia…
