I couldn't be happier. I use ink for shading watercolors, mostly prewashed (i.e. sketch in ink first). I'm on a budget and was looking for the perfect fountain pen with a fine tip (Pilot?) and waterproof fountain pen ink (Noodlers?). But I don't like black. It should be gray or sepia. Bored with the price and lack of the perfect combination of waterproof gray or sepia fountain pen inks, I decided to buy a pen and glass (simply because it's new!) and a bottle of Ph Martins Bombay Ink in sepia. Oh God! I use a fountain pen for writing or drawing, I call it lazy lag :) so larger vertical micron lag doesn't work for me. Also, I've found that the micrometer can scratch some types of paper. The glass pen is so intuitive that I was surprised myself. I've watched tutorial videos on how best to use them (rotating occasionally without keeping vertical) and the ink flows really well. I didn't get any stains or blemishes. The grip is important and the rotation of the pen when you find that the ink is not coming out. Find your footing before you give up. :) It is smooth! Note: - Depending on the type of ink, please wash after use. I let mine sit while I watered the plants and the Bombay Sepia ink didn't just re-wet with water. However, I can moisten as I paint with a watercolor brush to get lighter tones. The shade. I don't know why it seems faster than a pen. - I use the tiny brushes that come with women's electric shavers to push the ink out of the grooves when flushing. - I keep the pen tip in the tube. comes with a small foam pad on the bottom to protect the end of the handle. - I keep it in the same jar as my watercolor brushes. - There is no "cushion" for the pen in the kit, so I use a small plastic "cushion". stand", I got from another pack. I thought "dip" would irritate me, but since I paint it doesn't irritate me. Also, as the reviews say, it holds the ink well, so I It's so often I've used the Canson toilet book for this It's the PERFECT combo of a 'thin' pen with a permanent ink that I can wash off I'll use it for Bee, Arches and Use Fluid and update if I find anything contradicting what I said above.

With one dip, I was able to write a lot of text. I am very impressed with this pen!
