Disappointing Illuminated Push Button Switch

As a result of my tests, I determined that this switch was not reliable or durable. The illumination was dim and inconsistent, making it difficult to tell if it was on or off. The pricing was also higher compared to other switches in the market.

Pros
  • None
Cons
  • Inconsistent illumination, poor durability and reliability, high pricing.

This is NOT a snap switch

Product is listed as a snap switch. No, that is not so. You click it, it's fixed. If you press again, it will unlock and turn off. I'm ONLY giving 1 star because I NEED a switch IMMEDIATELY. (only on as long as you keep the button pressed). When I use this I'm sure it stays activated and burns my components. I actually really like it when I have to "click, click”. Maybe they sent me the wrong item>? I am returning/claiming the correct item and will update if this resolves the issue.

  • Controls and Indicators

Very loud for digital use

I really like how these switches look and work and I like that they have a connector for it. use if that's what you're into), and I always remove the normally closed wire. I connect them to the Arduino and the quick switching action is like a tactile switch but the switching noise is big. I got rid of the bouncing by "activating" on the initial edge and then ignoring the switch for the next 50ms. not bad, but be sure to plan for that in your software or you'll end up with a wrong switch.
