Great alternative to Sirui and Manfrotto

Great alternative to my Sirui monopods. Also, it is lighter and more compact when folded. Add a leg mount and you have a stunning video monopod for under $100.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Good but not great

Works best in camera and photo mode

It's short enough to squeeze into my backpack. Extends high enough to comfortably look through my DLSR's viewfinder. Sturdy enough to carry a camera (Nikon D750) with a battery and a long telephoto lens.

Pros
  • Comfortable to use
Cons
  • Very expensive

Excellent product! Deserves the highest rating.

I found what I needed for this old man with arthritis, balance issues and the desire to take a telephoto lens on short hikes in New Hampshire. This durable walking stick with camera mount isn't just for sports photographers. Did I expect that? No: much better. Design, assembly, appearance exceeded all my expectations. Excellent product. Thank you Avella for taking care of shipping such a lovely item. Wayne Hayes

Works great!

I bought this monopod for my Sony DSLR especially for my son's upcoming high school graduation. I'm going to be using a telephoto lens and need something that provides a stable platform, is more portable and takes up less space than my standard tripod; it looks like it will work fine. I've mounted the camera on a monopod and played around with a telephoto lens for a bit in the backyard and it works like a charm.

Pros
  • Dope 🔥
Cons
  • Not sure

great for long telephoto lenses

I used it on a recent birding tour with a Nikon P900. The P900 has a 2000mm optical zoom that I find almost impossible to keep still unless there's a fence or tree nearby. This monopod has made my life so much easier. The build quality is excellent - I really couldn't ask for anything better. The only issue I had was that the monopod head is made of beautiful black anodized aluminum and has nothing in it to provide cushioning or friction. I added some felt pads to fix this and now the camera…

If you plan on using legs, think twice.

Cut aluminum thread after 1 shot. The thread for the legs is 3/8, which is cool, but the thread itself is far from the edge. So if you buy legs, make sure you have a long screw, at least 1.5", otherwise it won't work. Reach far enough for a reliable lock. Also a threaded insert made out of cheap material. It feels like aluminum .The mounting knobs came loose right out of the box, so I had to tighten it, otherwise when you put a panny GH5 with a pancake lens + zhyiun crane 2, it just falls off.

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • So-so

However well made and very good quality

Pros: Excellent fit and finish, fairly durable and includes a set of clamp tightening tools. The product has two different feet for use on hard or soft surfaces. Cons: The monopod/hiking pole comes with two legs, one for hard surfaces and one for soft surfaces. As you can see in my attached picture, the hard tip is missing the o-ring that comes with the rubber foot. I lost a thorn on my very first trip. The seller replaced the block very quickly but I think the lack of an o-ring on the cleat…

Pros
  • High marks for grip and durability from testers
Cons
  • Compatibility

First Review: A solid monopod with great design and construction!

This is a first review of the Avella C325 58 inch carbon fiber camera monopod. I'll update the review once I find some practical use. After hours of research and wanting to stay on a reasonable budget, I ordered this monopod to photograph my kids' graduations. I found it much easier to stabilize my heavy DSLR (Canon 5D MKIII + grip + batteries + L Series 24-105 f/4 lens) weighing around 5 pounds with a monopod. With the camera mounted on it, I found the camera and the overall stability of the…
