Was a bit disappointed because after reading many reviews and seeing many questions and answers about this offer I thought I would get a pair of woofers although on the offer " Everyone” stood. (was my main reason for buying 0. However, I got a woofer in the package which I haven't installed yet because I'm still trying to find a way to connect it to 4 two-way speakers on a 4ch - connect the receiver.

Purchased for the office. You sound amazing. with my good sub of course but for the price they look and sound great! I compared them to Polk Audio from another room - well, not much of a difference! I thought it was a great deal! a real BANG for a dollar :) Of course I put them behind the walls with Dynamat and acoustic foam - and it made such a strong impression that they sound like very expensive speakers! They also matched my home decor. So I'm very happy.

I installed this on the ceiling in a large room - 20' x 20' with 12' ceilings and the sound quality across the range is fantastic. I installed a pair of Polk RC85i speakers in the next room, powered by the same amp, and the Monoprice speakers definitely have better sound quality and cost half the price of the Polk speakers. My only criticism is that the speaker grille has to wobble a bit to get back in place after wall mounting.

Seriously cheap construction but good value for money. So far everything is fine with the sound, but it did not break and was not installed. The hardware holding the speakers in place snaps out instantly when tightened, even when the coupler is used on a power drill. It may be worth using hand tools and gently tightening. I've installed many in-wall speakers over the years and these are the cheapest I've tried. You get what you pay for, but the overall look and sound quality add value here. I…

I bought 8 inch speakers and am incredibly impressed. As a sound freak, I can say that I did not expect the sound quality I would get from these speakers at all. They can certainly be used as standalone 2.1 stereo speakers. However, I use them in a 6.2 setup and they sound incredibly clear. Wasn't necessary, but they sound better with boxes. These speakers look great and sound great. However, they are not for the faint of heart. To install them you will need to cut a hole about 12" x 9" in the wall. I put a layer of Rockwool insulation in the wall before installing it so it doesn't resonate with the wall. I bought these 3-way speakers to use as surround back speakers. Photos underestimate their size. To install them, you have to cut an awfully large hole in the drywall. One of the reasons I bought these speakers is the "paintable grille". And while it's technically correct, painting the grille leaves a white frame around the speakers.
