Good surface mount jack, good price. Works as it should!

I had to run a CAT 6 cable from the office to the canteen to install the ONT. The connector worked as expected, received full gigabit as expected, and had no installation issues. I'll probably buy more of these if I need them in the future.

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Will write later

Works very well for audio and video accessories

No problem to connect the CAT cables properly and take full advantage of the 1GB speed of my CAT5e cables. I haven't used it with CAT6 so can't comment on the promised rating but it gave me a very good semi-permanent flexible situation to run my CAT wiring above my floor in my rental without drilling the walls.

Pros
  • Handy item
Cons
  • Older model

Great little box, best of the wall plates and connectors

Great little box, served my purpose well. I drove a new Cat5e into my garage, an existing build so I had to go outside the wall and use wire forms to attach it so I needed something like this below. Works fine, it says Cat6 and is backwards compatible with 5e. Easy to read insertion instructions and easy insertion with standard tools. Do not tear open the plastic bag, instructions for opening are on the back. Highly recommended.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Expensive

Excellent performance installed by a newbie.

Requires small but solid socket connectors for two ends of 50ft Cat6 cable running under house. It worked. I've never cut or cut an ethernet cable before, but the instructions were pretty basic. and with their help and a cheap punch tool, I got a secure wired connection from our router to our second computer with no loss of speed. No more inconsistent, intermittent Wi-Fi connections. Drawers open and close securely and the terminal port feels secure.

Pros
  • Pleased
Cons
  • Not everything fits

Superb surface mount box

I used this box in my home theater media cabinet for an all in one category 5e cable which I ended up connecting to my home network and which I use to connect to the internet in my theater wanted to establish below. This surface mount box came and was easy to use, the wires from my Cat5e were easy to punch out with the Data Shark punch tool I already had, and I was able to get gigabit speeds with the box. The box includes a cable tie, double-sided adhesive pad and screws to hold the box…

I recently upgraded my internet service to 1G fiber and needed to run some fixed lines under my house. One to move my wireless router to different wireless devices and the other to hardwire my PC. I bought all my Cat6 cables and connectors from Lowes and even got a surface mount baseboard jack (with screw terminals). My wired 1G connection was only 700MB down and 800MB down. I bought one of these connectors and replaced the screw terminal and now I'm getting 800MB down and 900MB up. I will be…
