Big shocks! - Shocks, Struts and Suspension

Great shocks! Swapped crappy Autozone shocks for these and what a difference! It's like a new truck! Very smooth handling and absorbs bumps well. Installed on GMC 2500HD DMAX 2006

Reliable topic here.

I've always liked Monroe shock absorbers. No frills, no fancy boots, they just keep going. bought some expensive shocks with anthers, the pistons rusted and the seals came loose after two years maybe 7km miles. Back to Monroe, a good prize is coming, the end.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Some little things

Worked well I recommend.

I installed them on my 2003 Chevy Silverado 2500. They were very easy to install and the jumping I got when towing a trailer stopped. The ride improved a lot after I removed the old shocks I understood why. They replaced the stock shocks on my truck and worked well. I recommend.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • No

System Dampers

I don't know how well these dampers hold up; However, they looked well made and were an exact replacement/OEM fit. I only had 25,000 miles on my pickup so it was surprising that one of the shock absorbers broke. Their installation has definitely contributed to the improvement in ride and handling.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • No Power

Who the hell is responsible for the delivery?!

I don't know who thought that the original packaging would be enough to deliver this product. First order, one shock was either damaged or lost, the other came with torn packaging. The replacement product had the end sticking out of the packaging. Item properly assembled, otherwise undamaged.

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • Long delivery time

Pretty good, some rust is starting

My truck drives much smoother now and the yellow under my truck looks fresh. Although the shock absorbers are already rusty (in 5 months) I might paint them. Edit: A year later the shock absorbers rusted more. But they still work fine. I want to paint the shock absorbers thick again before installing them.

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • Transparency

They work great! - Shocks

I have a 2005 Chevy 2500hd 4x4 with 131,000 miles on factory shocks. I only recently bought it and coped terribly with any kind of bump in the road, the whole cabin jerking wherever I went. When it comes to bumps, these Monroe Gas Magnum shocks take care of everything! Drives like new! I think the biggest problem that caused the cockpit to close was that all the bushings were fried in the old bushings! I would recommend them to everyone!

Pros
  • Easy To Use
Cons
  • Quick Start Guide
