Good shocks. on shock

Installation is a little more painful than regular shocks, but they will fit a 2006 Chevy Express 1500. The spring play on the axle bracket was about 1/4 inch or less, which worries me. it will rub. but not yet.

Pros
  • cool product
Cons
  • there are cons

Just fitted on a 95 GMC Yukon with no gap issues

Definitely a nice improvement in ride and level when loaded. 1995 GMC Yukon, 4-door, raised 1/2" to 3/4" rear, improvement over original. Eliminate slack when towing a small trailer and cargo.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Damaged

Fantastic driving improvement.

Unbelievable. Raised the rear of my 05 gmc conversion truck an inch or two. The stability is amazing. The fit is very snug, about less than a quarter to 8 inches, but it doesn't touch. Trip day and night difference. Would buy again if needed.

Pros
  • The best in its niche
Cons
  • Piggy bank price

Shock absorbers more than satisfied

Mounted on a 2000 Chevy Express. These shock absorbers (as well as the Monroe Reflex for the front wheels) changed the world. A firmer handling, a stiffer driving feeling on the track, etc. This is noticeable with speed bumps: what used to rattle is now quiet. Highly recommended.

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • weak

Worth the money - shock absorbers

Put these on my rebuilt 2000 Chevy Express van. They raised the rear 2 inches and gave new life to the old leaf springs. Difficult to install as compression is required but I used a couple of vises to compress the spring just enough for it to fit. Very smooth ride. Wife loves it and that's the main thing.

Pros
  • Heavy duty finish
Cons
  • Slightly torn

The best shock absorbers for every van and heavy SUV.

These kicks are beyond description. I've tried every type on my Chevy Express van before with no results. The ride is smooth and the van is also solid and holding up perfectly. My van drives better than a new car. These shock absorbers are a MUST HAVE for any van or heavy duty vehicle, the difference is HUGE. If you have an old van and another vehicle with bad suspension, I also suggest listing to have the perfect suspension.

Pros
  • Beautiful packaging
Cons
  • Only available in black

The product was not in the box.

The box arrived with only one unit when there should have been 2 (half the box was empty and it was clearly advertised as having two shocks). I was in a hurry to get the job done and I had to return the box and run to the local auto shop who charged 30% more but at least they had two shock absorbers in the box as advertised. The shocks themselves seem great and I'm happy with them but be aware when ordering they can only send you half of what you paid for and really messes up your schedule.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Clarity

Great shock absorbers for the Express Van!

I installed them on my 2003 Express Van AWD. The rear is now about 1 inch higher, but the van is primarily used for towing a trailer. With these shocks, the van now tows MUCH BETTER. With the trailer attached, the van is now roughly level. I have a feeling the van should have been fitted with these shocks from the factory. Even without a trailer, the van still drives better. The ride isn't harsh/hard without towing. I can only recommend these shock absorbers.

Pros
  • 1 year trial
Cons
  • Some minor things

Best rear shocks I've ever owned

My '99 Tahoe needed new shocks. I have a lot of experience with Rancho shocks on vans and SUVs, but these shocks caught my attention for one simple reason: the extra coil spring certainly increases the force required to compress the shock, but it serves a different purpose - it helps the leaf spring, which to bear burden. ! My Tahoe is rear-wheel drive only and there are virtually no "heavy leaf springs" for this SUV. So I decided to try them. I also put Ranchos (RS5166) on the front axle. The…
