Monroe Shocks - Shock Absorber

See my previous post on Monroe 911511. These shock absorbers come unattached so you will have to use old bolts and fasteners. They fit with some persuasion and work very well on my '97 GMC PU.

Pros
  • Impressive
Cons
  • poorly thought out

Truck rides great. On the street and next to it. Although I don't ride off-road in difficult conditions, I regularly ride dirt roads that can be washed out by heavy driving and are only checked once a week.

Pros
  • Top marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options

Much better than stock shock absorbers!

Installed these on my 1998 Chevy K1500 with Z-71 and they are much better than the Bilstein they came with. If you're looking for a shock with equivalent performance and comfort but don't want to pay $40 more just for the name, buy the Monroe. My truck turns more responsive and hauls much easier.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Miscellaneous Miscellaneous

Good dampers are good for dampers

Stable converted, mobile my old 95 GMC C1500. No more jumping, no more body rolling even with myhi top, great handling at a reasonable price, and a slight Monroe discount saved me even more dollars on this purchase. Easy transaction, fast delivery from Revain Prime and installation was very easy thanks to my vehicle details entered. I would recommend these shock absorbers to anyone based on my experience.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • No instructions
