Don't trust the part finder

This will NOT fit the 2008 F250 as the part finder says! Make sure you are aware of this before purchasing. You need Monroe SC2967 for 2008-2010 F250. It is suitable for 2007 and below. Buyer Warning. Accordingly, it is necessary to update the parts finder.

Pros
  • Superb design
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

The product name must be changed to match the OEM description.

Fits my F250. The only problem I would like is the description. The article should be called steering stabilizer, not damper. The dampers go to the lower tie rod and the stabilizer bar to the main tie rod. Luckily I only rotated my mount 180 degrees to make it fit. At first I didn't, and my steering wheel was cut in half. LAUGH OUT LOUD. A simple mod for setup.

Pros
  • Best
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Big difference after installation

Quality product eliminates steering wobble and fits my 05 F250 FX4 perfectly, not that heavy (much thinner cylinder and piston than Rancho OEM) but still works well. After several months of use, the only problem is that the rubber bushings are badly cracked. I can't fault Monroe or the seller as some of the products I bought here seem to be old, I can't complain about the savings here. In any case, the plan is to replace the bushings with polyurethane, and this is an inexpensive solution.

Pros
  • 1 year trial
Cons
  • Reliability

Didn't work: Power steering

available Didn't work for me. I ordered matching front shocks and they worked great and improved handling and stability, but this anti-roll bar was a throwback I was okay with. Just thought I would use my old bolts but the driver side mounting bolt was made and molded on my old one and not removable. Also on the passenger side of the new stabilizer bar, the molded cup that holds the rubber bushing has been welded to the back facing inward rather than outward towards the body of the stabilizer…
