Description of MOOG Chassis Products K6249 Idler

Problem Solver powdered metal gusher bearing design enables grease to flow through the bearing to the stud for reduced friction and enhanced strength and stability. Moog engineered steel composition results in a stronger component. Greaseable socket design allows new lubricant to flush contaminants from the assembly, reducing corrosion and wear. Loose or worn chassis parts can lead to premature tire wear.

looked like a quality product

This is not a Moog part, just a Moog sticker on the box covering the original manufacturers sticker. It was new, looked like a quality item, but if you need a Moog item you won't settle for less. The seller refunded a partial and fair amount. I've bought from them before and had a good experience, it must have been oops.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • I will add later

Mismarked Moog on Idler Arms

Moog listed this part as being on a 1982-1992 Camaro. It will fit as others who have left reviews have written, but this is incorrect and will affect the geometry of the steering wheel. The angle it drops to connect with the tension member pushes the tension member down. To function properly, your drawbar must be level from the bipod to the tension arm. Use of this part on a 1982 thru 1992 Camaro will never be the same as factory use. And in a bad way

Pros
  • Best in Niche
Cons
  • Negative Present
