Birds seem to love it

I was a bit worried after ordering this bird seed I saw a few reviews about pesticides the problem seemed solved so I received mine Ordered and decided to try it, it smells better than what I bought at the grocery store, I didn't smell any pesticides or chemical smells just the usual birdseed smell. I've planted a few where I feed birds and other small animals and we've gotten far more birds than any other bird seeder I've bought before, just on the first day we had a flock of robins, a great…

Pros
  • Sunflower oil with black oil attracts a lot of birds in the garden
Cons
  • Not automatic

great songbird seed

Basically like most other sunflower seeds I've bought here or elsewhere. The throw that other reviewers have mentioned was not an issue with the gripping chucks which I now use to keep grakles and starlings away. They may try but soon leave as they prefer to perch and feed off the ground. Because of this, other hole eaters aren't great at handling squeegees, using their big legs to rake feed onto the ground and then gobble up 50 or 60 squeegees. Smaller songbirds, like all the different species

Pros
  • 20 lb bag
Cons
  • No instructions

I am very happy with Morning Song.

I have been buying and feeding black oil sunflower seeds to birds for years. I used to buy them at local chain supermarkets/department stores or hardware stores where they were cheapest. Then I looked at Amazon. I found Morning Song and haven't bought it anywhere since. You just can't beat the price although like so many other items these days it has crept up and I think it might be due to seasonality/demand but I'm not sure. There will of course be some sticks/other plant matter, as with any…

Pros
  • American family product
Cons
  • Ugly packaging
