Better than clay on special cookware

Don't worry about this cookware breaking on the stove. Even the clay diffuser versions broke after a few uses. It's also slightly deeper, which is good for the family kitchen.

Pros
  • Positive only
Cons
  • Not bad, but...

GREAT COOKWARE

DESIGN ENSURES EVEN COOKING. SAD ANYTHING YOU WANT. ENJOY WITH IT. EXPERIMENT. WE RECOMMEND 10+. I CHOOSE CAST IRON BOTTOM AND CERAMIC TOP. MORE VERSATILE.

Pros
  • Absolutely fantastic!
Cons

Lid doesn't fit well on base

When the lid was filled with moisture it didn't drip back into the base. Everything spattered on my stove. The food cooked a little. It flowed to the edge of the base, pooling and splashing. Thus the lid is useless for use with the base. I'm glad I didn't use it in the oven. There would be a huge mess

Pros
  • Brilliantly made
Cons
  • Not sure

Excellent cast iron and ceramic lid

Heavy but cooks great. (If you prepare it properly for use) It comes with instructions, be sure to follow them. After we finished oiling and baking, our mold took on a nice glassy appearance. When we used it, it burned evenly and was easy to clean. The only downside is that it's quite heavy, so I don't recommend it to anyone with "glass" electric stoves (it will scratch it badly if you move it).

Pros
  • Great construction
Cons
  • Not the best

Tagine makes a big difference

Bought this tagine to cook North African dishes for my Mauritanian brother-in-law. Great success! Moroccan chicken, Mauritanian bonava and oven-baked meat and vegetables. I put a whole chicken in each and baked at the same time. Chicken tagine is way better - juicier, smoother. Definitely worth the money and a bit of an inconvenient storage problem due to its height. A tagine makes baked goods juicier and is more suitable for tagine recipes. Plus, it looks exotic when I take it out of the oven…

Pros
  • Feels good
Cons
  • Reliability

It is great! But no soap!

I love this thing! I used this to make a Moroccan lamb stew last night and it turned out great! Some reviews complain about the lid not fitting properly or spilling. But they use the tajine wrong! To avoid spilling, keep the liquid level low enough so it doesn't pool around the rim of the cap. If the liquid level is too high, the liquid will slosh out of the pot due to the heat from the lid. As long as you keep the rim relatively dry, it won't spill. Bonus points for this dish for being very…

Awesome and versatile!

This tagine is a wonder cookware you didn't know you needed! It exceeded my expectations WAY and I'm so glad I took the chance because it's so versatile and easy to use/clean. It's also better quality (and more) than the fashion brand versions that cost four times as much! Although tempted, I've resisted buying Clay Tagine in the past as it seemed too niche, but this version is a game changer! It's even made of enamelled cast iron, so there's no need for constant maintenance with grease, etc…

Pros
  • Large selection
Cons
  • Zero
