One of the valve cover bolt holes on my '85 Corvette appeared clean when I received it. Once they got these longer bolts, they caught on the threads and were able to tighten them to spec. Saved having to push a new topic.

You may be wrong. This is the only way to ensure good torque retention so that the seals do not become saturated with oil. They are well made and easy to assemble.

Works great. The pins are very long. They work on the thickest valve covers. I like nylon nuts. I personally don't like black rivets with chrome nuts and washers. In my case, the studs extend beyond the nuts by about an inch. This is my daily driver so functionality is more important than looks.

Compared to the bolts on my GM Crate 350, this is GREAT! I took the valve covers off to replace them with Gel-Pro 1628 gaskets and I put these bad boys in! They screw right into the block very easily! Used my Allen key to secure them all neatly. I put on the valve covers, put on spacers, then washers and self-locking nuts.
