Recommended by Buzzfeed. I ordered one because I have a microfiber couch and chair and when my cat splashes on the fabric it doesn't sink in but leaves a hard stain as it dries. This soft brush is ideal for cleaning and fluffing fibers. Just a minute and a little buffing and you can't even tell where the stain was. Now if only I could get my little bulimia to bang on the tiles instead of the furniture or the carpet.

The bristles are insidious! I have no idea when or how anyone would use this, just make sure no matter what you use it for, the poor thing can take the stubble. I was going to use it on a tweed sofa and quickly changed my mind when I realized I might ruin the upholstery. I'm sure this will come in handy if you're cleaning a thick, old-school carpet; Otherwise, leave it alone or you risk hurting yourself. This thing can be used as a weapon against hooligans!

As other reviewers have said yes it is a brush with very hard bristles. While I usually buy the parent brand for my cars, I bought this one for the carpet.
