There is a simple solution. Buy a pair of 6 " C's.

As others have said, the master cylinder cover can lose its seal midway if the J-bolts are over-tightened. It is difficult to tighten the bolts enough that they are tight enough to hold the pressure at the edges but not so that they flex easily and leak in the middle. I'm talking about GM master cylinders. Maybe wider isn't a problem. However, as with others out there there is an easy fix. Buy a pair of 6" C clamps from a discount tool store and use them to hold the cap in place. Don't over…

Please note before ordering Kit 0115

The adapter in Kit 105 is smaller than that in Kit #0115. The smaller size fits older dual reservoir cast iron master cylinders. However, this is not enough for later plastic tanks. Maybe that's why some had problems with the sealing. In my attached photos, the smaller 1105 adapter is included with the 105. Worked on a hard to bleed hot rod brake system

I used this on a hard to bleed hot rod brake system. The master cylinder is a 1970 Ford Mustang dual-chamber block that is tightly packed under the floor. I cut the universal master cylinder cap to fit a tight space and used a single c-clip to secure it with the included gasket, it doesn't leak. Connecting two hoses to this device is inconvenient because the fittings don't rotate, but get the job done. I had to use liquid teflon to keep them tight. The pump, bottle and gauge are great, I've had

Works Great - Brake Tools

First of all I'm not a 'reviewer' of any product, I'm just a guy who owns a few muscle cars in original shape. I bought it for my 1970 Corvette. I replaced the calipers and anyone who knows Corvettes knows it's difficult to get all the air out of the brakes when you bleed them. Vacuum cannot be used, it pulls past the seals. This unit worked fine, but you have to use 2-6" C-clamps (these remove the plate that attaches to the master) to attach it to the master. Forget the included chains and…
