Bang for the dollar! suitable for chargers

I used it to charge my Dakota 50Ah Lithium battery with BMS which had been dormant for ten months! It took 14 hours (overnight) to charge before I tested it. The LED indicator said fully charged. The voltmeter showed 14.6 volts. I have a Shorai bike battery, it's the next one. I think that's a win! Five stars πŸ‘Š

I have only one thought.

The MOTOPOWER MP00207A 12V 2A Lithium Ion Car Charger only starts charging the lithium battery when it is already sufficiently charged. So if you jump over the LI and charge it appropriately, the charger will keep charging. Otherwise it doesn't work.

Must have a good battery.

Even work as a charger until your battery dies. They don't have to have three prongs to work. 5 stars for the product. Oh stars for a customer service like me, it didn't work out. I tried to get answers but the guy was rude and was only on the phone for 30 seconds or less. I found out myself. Must have a good battery.

So far, so good. Good little chargers.

I bought two of these for a race car trailer. I have connected them to charge various deep cycle lead acid batteries when connected to shore power or a generator set. Batteries last longer when they're fully charged, and this little charger keeps them 100% charged. They are fully automatic so I never have to touch them. I just check the LEDs from time to time to make sure they are still working.

Pros
  • Impressive
Cons
  • Cable shorter than others

Will not charge if your battery is completely empty.

I bought this for my 2019 Street Glide Special that had the power completely off and the bike has no power when I turn the ignition on. I tried to connect the charger but it won't charge. After looking at the manual he said it wouldn't charge if the battery was less than 8 volts so I bought a paperweight. It would be nice to know when I was looking for a charger. Now I have to buy another one that will charge dead batteries.

Pros
  • Tough finish
Cons
  • I'll be silent

Doesn't make 2 amps and always says full

LED indicators are not what they should be. I am connected to a 10 amp/hour LiFe battery. Measuring the charge rate after my battery is more than half empty and this device draws only 1.3 amps (probably 2 amps) and the full charge indicator is already on. Check after 5 hours, it still shows full charge and it's still running 0.8 amps in the battery. So if it's full, why are you still charging it for more than 6 hours? Eventually the charge rate drops to 0, then the battery is fully charged…

Pros
  • Great overall performance
Cons
  • Upgradeable

The best charger I've ever had

This charger is small but very complex. It doesn't have and doesn't need a million options. Simply connect to the battery and off you go. I have charged many car batteries, motorcycle batteries, lawn mower batteries, 4WD batteries with no problem. Just connect it to the battery and then plug it into the wall. You get a red LED power indicator and either a red charging indicator or a green charging indicator. I have never had a problem with this charger charging a connected battery. Also, my…

This is not actually a Lithium Ion battery charger

This is not a Lithium Ion battery charger as it must not be left connected to a Lithium Ion battery after it has been fully charged. He charged a 12-volt lithium battery to 14.38V and then boosted it to 13.7V. Most experts advise that in order to achieve maximum lifespan, a lithium-ion battery must not be 100% charged and also should not be used for charging. Therefore, a 12V Li-ion charger should cut out at around 13.3V at the end of the charge time. There is a non-functional button on the…
