Great replacement for standard HD headsets

Fantastic headset. I used it as a replacement for the Harley headset that comes with the bike. I wear it with a modular helmet which the mic is great with because it's easy to store behind my helmets by adding and routing to the front of the helmet. This is good because all the cables are separate so you can arrange them in your helmet so they don't get in the way and connect. The connection to this device is 100% better than the factory HD. It is waterproof and very durable. No need to worryโ€ฆ

You get what you pay for.

There is a lot to say about this product. The microphone picks up a lot of background noise, which becomes annoying when you use the VOX function. I would rate headphones 6 out of 10, they are not very loud. When you're traveling at speeds in excess of 60 miles per hour, you don't need to worry about answering the phone or using the communications feature. When I use the PTT button on my bike I can send some information if you yell a little. Installation was easy and required no priorโ€ฆ

Works great BUT!

Since my wife and I drove a lot of miles on my 2010 HD Electra Glide, we were going to get some intercom headsets anyway. It plugs directly into the OEM intercom connector and works with all HD VOX, volume and switch functions. On our first ride with them the speakers were good, the mic clear and it took over 60mph for the wind to really start creating enough static through the mics to make it a bit difficult to hear each other. This is where the big BUT comes in, they are NOT comfortable forโ€ฆ

mostly good but we found they fit.

No more screaming while cycling! Use them to talk to each other or talk CB or music. The cord is long enough to be picked up without being pulled over your head or off the bike. The mouth microphone is very flexible and can be conveniently placed. Soft earmuffs are fine for the most part, but we've found that they work best without a helmet OR with helmets that have extra room over the ears. They stay in place very well, although you'll have to adjust them over your ears for a good fitโ€ฆ

It was almost plug and play when they worked.

Installed in a new full face helmet. Plugged it into the comport of my Harley Tri Glide and it works great. Now let's look at durability. Longevity was short-lived! Designed the intermittent shorts during my first run. The FM radio was turned off and then turned on again. I also installed a metal flagpole about 3 inches from the radio antenna. Concerned about signal interference, I went jogging with the FM radio on bikes with built-in speakers. No problem. Then I carefully sealed all theโ€ฆ
