High Quality Exhaust

Original Equipment. Restored my 2000 Mercury Grand Marquis to perfection. In my opinion, this part should be replaced at 100,000 km.

I worked according to the instructions.

Replaced the OEM block on a 2001 Lincoln Town Car with a 4.6L V8 that was no longer working properly. Easy to turn and still works great after almost 2 years.

Pros
  • Handy Part
Cons
  • High Price

Replace, not repair.

Common problem with 4.6 engines. If you are having trouble starting your car or if you start your car and it stalls, replace this part. Don't try to fix the old one by cleaning it.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Nothing here

RIGHT AND WRONG PART NUMBER

ABOUT 3 YEARS AGO AMAZON SAID THIS IS WHAT I NEED FOR MY 2001 MERCURY GRAND MARQUIS AND IT IS SOMETHING CARS NOW. AND TO KNOW THAT THE EMPTY WAY IS THE FAST WAY. SO I HAVE ONE FROM ADVANCE AUTO PARTS BWD BRAND AND IT WORKS WELL. I WENT TO OTHER WEBSITES AND THE MOTORCRAFT CX1866 IS THE RIGHT ONE. I SHOULD RECEIVE A DEFECTIVE ONE - I WANTED TO SEND IT BACK TO AMAZON FOR A REPLACEMENT BUT THEY TOLD ME THE RETURN DATE IS. I DON'T BELIEVE THAT IT WAS RIGHT.

Pros
  • Absolute Legend
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

The item is exactly like the original.

The picture may not match the part number CX1866, but it IS CX1866. It seems to last between 60 and 90,000 miles before failing. My application was a 2000 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor. Whenever I stopped, the idle speed would increase and there would be a loud honking sound under the hood. As if the noise was coming from the air filter box. Some internet searches have pointed to this part. After the replacement, the problem was completely resolved. Two 10mm screws and an electrical…

Pros
  • Highest score for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • There is one negative result
