I bought a Motorcraft ICU and expected it to fit. I bought an ICU screw remover and all was going well until I realized the holes weren't that shallow to screw the new ICU to the heatsink. The screws were too short. I took a drill and deepened the hole a bit so I could start and tighten the screws.

It would be good although it doesn't have a Motorcraft badge but does have a Ford box and P/N. But I believe all sub-books are wrong, including Revane's book. I need a black CCD ignition control module. Remember, if you have a 94 forward you need a black no matter what anyone tells you. Gray works (where black should) well enough to drive you crazy.

just got this and haven't installed it yet, giving it 3 stars right away because it doesn't come with radiator lube which is very important. If you live in the city this might not be a big deal, but if you live in the country it's a big problem. You would think that for the price they would include some lube. To the parts store.

Ford lists this as the correct part number for a 1996 F150 4.9. It's not, and they know it. This will trigger a DTC P1351. This item is grey. you need black Youtube has the part number as DY1077. I don't know yet as I haven't received it and haven't checked it, but it isn't. Don't take Chinese. Get the real Motorcraft as the Chinese ones don't work.
